Bday Recap

Yesterday was my 24th birthday! Ummm 24? Where has the time gone?! I had the best day with my husband who took off work all day just for me. :) The day started with my free birthday Starbucks… I got a venti iced hazelnut macchiato with an extra shot of espresso & added whipped cream! Haha I know that definitely doesn’t align with my new no sweets eating, but it was my birthday, give me a break, right? I had to milk that free drink for all it’s worth!

The rest of the day Griffin took me around different furniture & home stores just for fun! As a lot of you know, when we moved here to Arizona, we sold almost everything we had, so now we have no furniture and will be starting fresh. Even though we couldn’t buy anything yesterday, it was fun to dream & look around. The last furniture store we went to, we met a very talkative & adamant salesperson. He was an older gentlemen in about his 70s & sure loved to follow us around to every couch we looked at. It was quite the experience haha! Especially when I told him my husband didn’t want a fabric couch, but he kept leading us to fabric couches lol. It’s always fun to meet interesting people.

Also, a few days before my birthday, my mother-in-law surprised me with a mani & pedi.

After shopping around, we went out to our favorite sushi restaurant, Pearl (anyone near Chandler, AZ needs to try it). Then he took me to a nice outdoor mall to eat some Gelato & walk around. We stopped at a little pet store because the puppies in the store were calling my name, I just know it. We both loved this little black & white schnauzer & had to play with him. It really was a sad thing to see though, because their cages were filthy as well as their fur. The workers sure didn’t seem to take good care of the animals. Stop buying from puppy mills people! Ok, enough of my animal-loving anger coming out. Here’s the little cutie that seriously loved us.

It was a very good day for me, & thanks to all my family & friends for all the birthday texts, tweets, & calls! I feel very blessed! The night ended with me crying over turning 24. I don’t like this whole getting old thing. My husband was so sweet to me & reminded me how beautiful I am to him even though I feel like I’m getting a droopy neck. Where’s my neck cream?!!! ;) Thanks love, for an amazing day & an amazing marriage.

Bethany, loved your Birthday recap!! I LOVE going around to home stores and looking at furniture and dreaming as you guys did. Happy shopping! The dreaming is some of the most fun of the whole process. Love you, and PLEEEEEZE don’t even go there, when it comes to turning 24!
