I have recently been getting into more bold lip colors for some reason. I used to be a chapstick only gal. I hated everything else, including clear lip gloss. Crazy, I know. But the more I explore the lip gloss/lipstick/lip stain world, the more I am falling in love! I think that I had in my mind that every lip color worked the same… the lipsticks all bled to the outside of your lips & always ended up on your teeth or water bottle, lip gloss was always sticky & catching your hair in the wind, & the lip stains all dried out your lips & never came off. I am quickly finding out that that’s not the case, but you have to try multiple brands & colors to find what works best for you.
Today I want to tell you about two lip stains I have tried together.
>>>
1. bene tint by benefit cosmetics in rose color >> this is actually a cheek tint, but I used it as a base for my lips to make this look a little softer
2. Ulta brand Extreme Wear Lip Stain #12 >> this looks very dark in the bottle, so be careful when applying it to your lips… you can always add, but it’s hard to take away with a stain
Overall, I liked this color combination, & I would rate this at a 6 on a 1-10 scale
Pros:
>pretty color
>easy to apply
>comes off fairly easy for a stain
>it has that natural berry look
Cons:
>doesn’t blend well when applying, so you need to apply very carefully & precisely
>tingles for a few minutes after application (some people like that, I do not)
>dries your lips out a little
Remember, everyone has different PH levels, so one that might work great for me, may not work the exact same for you & vice versa. I’ll be posting more as I try more brands & colors!
