Griffin Health Miscarriage

Test Results

Thanks everyone for being patient as we waited & waited & waited (for over a month) for our blood test results that the genetic counselor ordered. To recap, I was getting tested for a blood clot disorder called Antiphospholipid Syndrome, & both Griffin & I were getting chromosome testing for balanced translocation.

We actually heard back about the blood clot test pretty quickly, & it came back negative, meaning, I don’t have the disorder!! That was such great news to hear, but at the same time, I didn’t feel like I could celebrate because we had even bigger test results we were still waiting on. We got the tests done about a month ago & just a few days ago received the news that both Griffin & my chromosomes are normal!! We are so relieved at this news, because chromosomes are something you cannot change. We, along with our families, are praising Jesus!!

So, where does that leave us? I’m not really sure right now. We received the best results possible, but are still left with questions. Right now we are living in Prescott, AZ, about 2 1/2 hours from our home. We will be here for one month running youth camps up here, which leaves us with a big gap of going back into the specialist. I know this is one of my shorter posts, but I wanted to make sure I shared the test results with everyone. Griffin & I want to thank you so much for your prayers. God anwered these specific prayers about the blood tests, & we keep hoping & believing he will answer our prayers for healthy, full-term children.

If anyone has any questions about our journey so far, please don’t be scared to ask. As you have been reading, I am pretty much an open book. Maybe you are out there going through a similar situation & have a specific question about something that I have not talked about. Or perhaps you are just curious about something I’ve already mentioned. And lastly, if you have any ideas or things you want me to write about, please let me know. I appreciate your support!

Now they are 11 yrs old and couldn’t be happier. Dave keeps praying for a girl. But I believe God knows what we can handle. First I would like to say that you guys are very strong and amazing for what you went through. I want to share with you that I had 2 miscarriages in July 2005 and March 2012. Then I was pregnant with our 4th live pregnancy in April 2012 which I was not expecting. I had to take the infertility med you did to get pregnant the first time and in January 2012. My mom passed away in July of 2012 when I was pregnant with our last one. Being pregnant and grieving the lost of my mom was devastating.

Then last May 6, 2015 I lost my youngest son who was just over 2 years old. He drowned in my in-laws pool and that took me to another level of devastation and hurt. It’s been extremely hard and difficult for me as I have 3 older boys ages from 11, 9 and 8. They love and miss their youngest brother so much. We started to go to grief and lost support group here in Tucson since last September and that has been helpful for my down size family from 6 to 5. I want to let you know that I feel your pain and had been through some of your journey. I will pray for you and your family and will definitely follow your blog. God bless you all and know that he is with you guys every step of the way. I can’t imagine how much more pain I would go through without God .
