Family Griffin Health Life

Update on Griffin

Today is a good day! Yesterday Griffin had a rough morning because he was taken off all pain meds, food, & drink for over 10 hours to perform the gallbladder procedure to check on that. He had a ton of pain in his head & legs, but thankfully started to feel better once he got his medication back. As long as he gets his pain medication on time, his head feels better, but he still has unbearable pain when he stands or sits. Laying down & walking is ok for him to do.

One of the biggest concerns from the doctors have been his liver enzymes. When we got to the ER last Tuesday, his enzymes were elevated to around 200. Your enzymes should be anywhere from 7-55, so this number was pretty high, however, the doctor was more concerned about his platelet count dropping.

Every day that we have been here, his enzymes have gotten higher. Yesterday they were the highest at 460, but the doctors were expecting them to drop soon. This morning they tested him again & his enzymes are currently at 355!! Still high, but they are dropping, which is an answer to prayer!

We could possibly go home today or tomorrow. We all think Griffin will get better quicker if he were at home rather than the hospital. They were keeping him here mostly because of his liver. We will meet with a physical therapist today for his legs, but both his leg pain & migraine could last for a few weeks.

I Thess. 5.16-18
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
